design and mental health literature review

In June, Rachel and Sarah presented at the Nottingham Trent University College research conference on the initial findings of our meta-literature review on design and mental health.

We were looking in particular for accounts of the underlying philosophies and modalities that are informing research methodologies when design gets involved in this sector. It transpires that modalities are not generally explicitly mentioned.
This work was limited to the UK and European literature, and does not include the grey literature, so there is lots more work to be done. We are currently looking for a suitable journal to publish the findings as a full article.
